Becker NBV Series

Sales Literature

Description:

The NBV Non-Bleed Valve renders the primary control instrumentation non-bleeding when the control valve reaches full-open and full-closed positions. This is ideal for Monitor Regulators and Standby Regulators that typically remain in the full-open or full-closed positions. The NBV features bleed shutoff at both ends of valve travel with no adjustment. The NBV is the primary choice for Non-Bleed technology on Becker double-acting control instrumentation. Note restrictions of usage for the NBV.

Benefits:
  • NBV No Bleed Valves minimize atmospheric emissions by eliminating bleed gas when the control valve is in a full open and/or full closed position.
  • No adjustment
  • Modular design minimizes tubing and fittings
  • Only one moving part
  • Easy retrofit to all existing Becker double acting instrumentation

Compatibility:

NBV No Bleed Valves are compatible with ALL Becker double acting instrumentation:

  • VRP Model Pilots
  • VRP-B Model Pilots
  • HPP-2 Model Positioners
  • HPP-2E Model Positioners
  • HPP-3 Model Positioners
  • HPP-3E Model Positioners

Note that Becker single-acting instrumentation do NOT utilize Non-Bleed Sensors.

Usage:

NBV No Bleed Valves are typically used when double-acting control valves remain in a full open and/or full closed position such as monitor or standby regulators.

NBV No Bleed Valves are utilized when the following conditions exist:

  • 75 psig > Psupply < 150 psig
  • Pdischarge < 60 psig
